Our lake is an old sand quarry that is a spring fed water source!
Our water is crystal clear naturally, perfect for SCUBA!
Opening for SCUBA April 15, 2026, 9 am.
- Pearl Lake Beach has been an iconic scuba diving lake for over 50 years. This is due to the crystal clear water and visibility of 30-40 feet.
- Pearl Lake has been set up with intentional dive sites.
- Pearl Lake has multiple dive sites, in addition to training platforms.

There are many amazing dive shops within 2 hour radius from Pearl Lake! Search online and reach out to your nearest dive shop to inquire with them about SCUBA certifications.
2026 SCUBA Diving Hours
April 15 – October 11
Monday-Friday : 9am-5pm
Saturday & Sunday: 8am-5pm
2026 Rates:
- $30/ Day Per Diver
- $25/ Day Non-Diver
All divers must fill out our electronic waiver prior to diving. Links will be updated soon.

- Certified Divers/Instructors & students only
- No Solo Diving
- No Free Diving
- Mermaid Cert. Not Permitted
We do not offer tank filling or equipment rentals.
Access updates:
Currently the North Pavilions are off-limits for access until further notice due to construction. Anyone trespassing in off-limit areas are subject to fines and will be permanently banned from the property.
Pavilions
Pavilions may only be reserved for groups of 30 or more for a reservation fee. Otherwise pavilions are for all divers to utilize. Be respectful and share with others. Reserve for large groups by calling our office at 815-389-1479.
IMPORTANT CHECK-IN INFORMATION:
All divers and guests must stop at the office prior to going to dive site areas. Any divers or guests that go to the sites ahead of time will be banned from the property.
IMPORTANT GATE INSTRUCTIONS:
April 15-May 21 Instructions:
The gate arm remains down during this date period. Follow instructions below. **Do not line up at the gate prior to daily open time. This will block residents and staff.
Saturday/ Sunday: You may line up at the gate at 8 am sharp to begin calling to the office to request access. Press call to be buzzed in. One car per buzz. Do not tailgate. Any damages to the gate by tailgating or blocking of traffic is subject to a fine.
Monday–Friday: You may line up at the gate at 9 am sharp to begin calling to the office to request access. One car per buzz. Do not tailgate. Any damages to the gate by tailgating or blocking of traffic is subject to a fine.
May 22-Sept 7 Gate Instructions:
The Gate will remain open from daily open time until 5 pm. All visitors must register at the office prior to entering dive sites.
Saturday/ Sunday: 8 am sharp the gate will be opened by one of our staff members. DO not line up at the gate to wait for this. Park in the side parking lot until you see the gate open.
